
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) -- Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) unveiled its new logo Thursday morning as it transitions into Purdue University Fort Wayne.
Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will change also its school colors to black and gold, merging with the Purdue brand.
Last year, IPFW announced the school will be splitting up the governance of the campus, leaning heavily to Purdue University control.

The realignment will give Purdue authority and responsibility for managing and operating the majority of the Fort Wayne campus. IU will operate and manage the health sciences programs on the Fort Wayne campus, which will be named Indiana University Fort Wayne.
The name change takes effect July 1, 2018.
