Early morning standoff ends with one arrest

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) --One person is in custody after an early morning standoff in Fort Wayne.

The call came in around 3:35 Wednesday morning at a home in the 1700 block of Lake Avenue. Police were called to the scene after neighbors reported hearing gunfire.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman that said she was a victim of a domestic battery. She directed police to the house where the suspect, later identified as Neon Frazier, was.

Police tried to make contact with Frazier, but were unable to. The Emergency Services and Crisis Response teams were called in to assist with the standoff.

Eventually, police were able to make contact with Frazier. He left the home around 7 am and was taken into custody without further incident. He was preliminarily charged with domestic battery and strangulation. Nobody was injured during the standoff.
